Worst hotel experience
On our weekend an exuberant summer party took place in the outdoor area of the adjacent restaurant – right outside our window. At 30°C outside temperature and without air conditioning we had to leave the windows open. Our complaints to the hotel staff were ignored; we were merely told that “this is just the way it is in summer.” The noise of the summer party continued until 2am, so we left the hotel that night.
The homepage promises “peace and harmony”, which was absolutely not true in our case. Discussions with the staff of the estate afterwards were also disappointing. We were accused of telling the truth about the noise nuisance as “no other guest would have complained”. Further reviews, however, described similar rest disorders and uncooperative employees:inside. Makes you wonder who lied.
As compensation, we were offered only 30% of the total amount. Given that we spent half a night in the hotel and tried to sleep for four hours in vain, this is unacceptable.
All in all, our stay was an absolute failure.

Very mixed experiences
1. Unfriendly reception: Just a terse “hello”, no “good afternoon, welcome, you had a good journey” or similar.
2. We got a different room than booked and confirmed. This disappointed us very much, because we had chosen the booked room because of its open and generous impression and the bed size. The room we got was unfortunately very different.
3. Multiple teachings in unfriendly tone:
- We could have known that the tarte flambée is only served until 6 pm. -> According to the information on the website, the tarte flambée is served until 8 pm and the bistro is open until 8 pm.
- We could have known that there was only one duvet in the double bed. -> Maybe we could have closed this down based on the room photos, but we still wanted two duvets and do not like to be reprimanded. We then got the desired two duvets, but only with the addition that actually the housekeeping would be responsible, the reception could not take care of everything ...
Positives:
The next day there were two other employees, both very friendly and helpful. Among other things, we were offered that we could move to another room (in a higher category).
Our overall impression of the hotel would certainly have been considerably better despite all the problems if these staff had welcomed us on arrival. This would also have led to a better review.
