Nice hotel

After a long warm bike ride along the Elbe, stay overnight at this hotel. A beautiful old hotel with a surprising interior. Good beds, a nice bathroom and an extensive breakfast buffet. One thing is a pity that you can only check in from 3pm.

Two cyclists on the road.

Very nice staff. The hotel is beautifully restored, lots of history. Great big rooms. Delicious bathrooms.
A bit too quiet in the house, no restaurants, but good restaurants on the market.
Some noise from the street and the church.
Good place for the bikes.

Right on the main square

Stayed as part of pre-booked package on self guided bike tour of Elbe. We had 2 rooms in the back wing. They were quite nice with a good size TV to watch the 2018 world cup. Breakfast was very good, served in a very grand room which must have been a ball room.

Comfortable stay

We stayed here one night as part of a bicycle tour along the Elbe. Hotel is a short distance from the site on the river denoting where the Red Army and US Army met in WWII (the first meeting was actually not far away in Strehla, but Torgau got more publicity - a story for another time). Room was comfortable, breakfast good, secure bike storage always a plus.

very basic hotel

The staff was not very friendly and the room was like a prison cell. The hotel is very noisy. The bathroom is simple but clean. There is a TV and several stations available. There was a free Wifi connection but the signal was poorly.
It was very hot in the room because there is NO air conditioning.
There is a parking space available but also very small.
The breakfast is very nice and complete and of good quality.
The restaurant looks very fancy but was not special.
It's located on the town square close to the castle that very nice.
all in all not a very comfortable hotel
