Recommendation Hotel an der Gracht
We arrived by car and left this in a P&R car park where you pay only 6 € per day on weekends. By bus 20 min/ that stops right around the corner from the hotel.

Great location for exploring Jordaan area
Our room was compact but had everything we needed, including a mini seating area overlooking the canal (after purchasing pastries, OJ and coffee it provided us with a great breakfast spot).
Although, breakfast would only have been €5 more each, so you may prefer to do that. Sebastian’s staff were super friendly.
We can recommend La Perla, if you like pizza - delicious in(Sebastian’s provided us with a printout of great local eateries)! We pre-booked tickets for the Moca (Museum of Contemporary Art) the best day - a great exhibition of cool artists - but recommend you visit early when it’s quiet as its rooms are quite small. We will definitely stay in the Jordaan area again - much more enjoyable than Dam Square/other more touristy areas.

Brilliant staff and great location
hot water, very compact bathroom but clean and modern fittings. Nespresso machine and pods on room which really works for me.
lovely bar area for a pre or post dinner drink.

The price if the reservation is made on time is great!
Three small notes: the beautiful bar counter that tempts you to have a drink, despite the heineken designer tapping system that stands out in the center, does not have draft beer but only bottled; breakfast should be ordered the day before because it is prepared on the spot and not as a buffet; the rooms on the lower floor overlook an outdoor garden, not accessible from the room itself but the hotel janitors who move in the garden see quietly into the rooms.
