Wonderful small hotel easy walk to dunes and beach

This hotel was so much better than I expected. Clean comfortable and a great breakfast. I will certainly go back here. It was recommended by a family member who lives in the area.I will definitely have to thank her. Egmond is a busy little seaside town with a wonderful beach and great dunes for walking.
The couple who run it are very friendly and really made my fiancee and I feel like part of the family.

Creepy

For lack of other alternatives, I booked the GARDEN ROOM, which doesn't deserve its name. It is a converted shed in the back yard, with a glass entrance door, half of which is covered with blind glass, and a window that can be opened, but not in such a way that you can leave it open at night, as it cannot be locked or tilted. The room itself is very small, on the ground floor, visible to everyone, nicely but uncomfortably furnished, and can only be darkened with a curtain that protects against UV rays. As you have to close the curtain, you need light during the day, which doesn't make the room any better. I noticed a musty smell, but this may be due to my aversion to the room. The supposed garden is an imposition. Old, unusable garden furniture, surrounded by the bicycles of the other hotel guests, as it is in the back yard. The shed can only be reached via the side entrance, the door of which was of course open, hence the reference to the window that cannot be closed. All in all, for 120.00 per night, it was a disgrace. Breakfast and facilities were OK. Due to my massive protests, I only had to stay there for one day and was able to move.

Well-situated, welcoming hotel by the beach

Loved the renovated lobby and dining room. This has a small boutique-like feel. The owner who was on premise, was fantastic. Very welcoming and accommodating. Rooms were small but clean and efficient. Perfect if you're planning to spend most of the time out at the beach. Great breakfast too!

Toller Kurztripp

Schönes Zimmer.
Ganz toll war, dass es einen Kühlschrank im Zimmer gab.
Eine Kaffeemaschine machte es perfekt!
Das Frühstück war ausreichend und lecker.
Ganz toll war, dass man die Möglichkeit hatte, abends im Frühstücksraum zu spielen (Spiele waren auch vorhanden).
Was aber verbesserungsfähig ist. Es gab absolut keine wirkliche Abstellfläche.
Im Bad passte nur der unausgepackte Kulturbeutel meines Mannes.
Für 2 Nächte ging es. Aber bei einem längeren Urlaub hätten wir schon Schwierigkeiten.
Hier und auch im Zimmer könnte man einfach Regale anbringen und das Problem ist gelöst.
Alles in allem war es ein toller Urlaub und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!!!

Schönes,kleines Hotel in Strandnähe

ruhiges,liebevolles geführte kleine Hotel.
Parken vor dem Hotel
Zimmer sind sehr sauber,gemütlich,einfach zum wohfühlen. Kaffee und Tee Zubereitung möglich,Safe,Fön,Fernseher,Duschgel und Shampoo alles vorhanden.
Frühstück ist absolut spitze,frisches Obst,Brot und Brötchen Auswahl usw.,es hat an nichts gefehlt.
Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und runden den Aufenthalt mit ihrer Art ab.
Strand und Centrum in ca 500 Meter zu erreichen.
Wenn Urlaub in Egmond aan Zee,dann nur noch in diesem Hotel.
