128 Lodge ~ A promising aparthotel in Tuguegarao City

When I saw an off-peak deal ad about 128 Lodge, I immediately chose this property for my solo travel to Tuguegarao City, in the province of Cagayan, Philippines. The website photos are true representation of the property; however, one should not expect something grand as the property is a simple traditional "aparthotel". I believe that at this moment (October 2019) more works are still under process _ which when completed, will popularize 128 Lodge. When nearby grassy and muddy grounds are paved, streets are named, and 128 Lodge signboard is put up, it won't be long, tourists will flock to this "aparthotel". I really appreciate the helpfulness of the owners especially when they volunteered to pick me up from the city center. They served very affordable traditional breakfast delivered to my room on the 4th floor. However, I noticed very, very tiny red ants (almost invisible if you are not conscious of ants) appear in bed sheet every now and then, after catching and getting rid of a few, and so on. Dangerous if they crawl inside your eardrum. When I requested them to sort out this problem, they immediately took an action. Still, on my last night I saw a few more tiny red ants; and had no idea where they were coming from. I would suggest the management _ a general cleaning of the dusty
flooring. Although those cobwebs under the bed are harmless, they should be removed. As a whole, I liked the privacy of my stay. It was just that, those tiny red ants caused me disturbed sleep and rest. Lastly I can say that tricycles are a good mode of transport in the city of Tuguegarao; although they are more pricey than the public jeepneys if you request them to take you to remote areas. I would recommend 128 Lodge to backpackers and cost conscious travellers. Mostly, I wish to thank very much, Ms. Fredelyn and the other staff for their politeness and helpfulness.
