Relaxing in Paradise

Well after reading many negative reviews, we were a bit apprehensive but pleasantly surprised on arrival, although not a high end international hotel chain, the place is wonderful, the location on the beach, couldn’t be better, to the staff and our room. We had picked a Junior Suite with our own private jacuzzi (Room 11) with breathtaking views.
Breakfast was good, although to some not much of a choice, but we were very happy.
We did not use the hotel restaurant, as we had researched from the UK on Tripadvisor and had a bucket list to try both lunch and evening, all were very good and reasonably priced.
One very important note to everyone, it’s worth hiring a small car on arrival at the airport, if you don’t you will be miles from restaurants and supermarkets, it gives you freedom to explore which is quite an experience, haven’t driven around so many hairpin bends in my life LOL. Driving is easy, as same as the UK.
We booked our car from the UK on line with Doffay.Com, payment on arrival and flourless car and service, 8 days hire of medium car was 396 euros with additional fully inclusive insurance (Total Protect) of 240 euros, with no additional blocking of your credit card with this insurance and no excess. For us a week here was enough, but very relaxing and enjoyable.
Nothing is walkable from the hotel, a car and google maps is a must.

Beautiful Setting.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Chez Batista for the start of his 60th 3 week birthday trip. This lovely place is nestled away on the most beautiful beach with granite boulders encasing it. Just what you imagine the Seychelles to be like. Breath taking.
We stayed in the new building in a clean comfortable room with great air con. It was great. Our check in and greeting was warm and professional.
The breakfast offering was good ( included ) and we ate dinner at the restaurant also. The food was amazing with substantial portions.... good value for money. The beach is wonderful but the waves could be strong but that did not stop us from enjoying it. You can really relax here. There are stones and rocks on the seafloor so swim shoes are a must.
The staff are amazing we really enjoyed our 4 night stay.
Very very good for the price point.

Nice surprise.

Hotel on the beach. We had the large superior suite although the furniture is a bit 'antique, large bathroom with window to be renovated equipped with bidet. To reach the room we had to pass 2 others but the location of these suites is spectacular. Breakfast with fruit, toast, butter, egg jams on request cooked as you want, bacon, sausages, redone beans and crepes. The hotel is next to the beginning of the route to the rock pool. You have to have the car especially to move to go to dinner. The hotel restaurant does not provide it.

Hidden Gem

We stayed at Chez Batista’s villas for 4 nights and this was our second accommodation during our vacation. After staying at 4star hotel at Beau Vallon, I must say, we much preferred this little hidden gem. The room was very spacious with all amenities required. Very good water pressure. Breakfast was good as well. Loved the pancakes:) service always great from housekeeping, who did an amazing job to restaurant and reception staff. The only 2 things might need a bit of improving are WiFi doesn’t really work in rooms, only on the balcony, so maybe better router can be installed and aircon took a bit longer to cool the room. It did work, but could have been a bit better. The location is amazing, so peaceful, the view from the balcony is beautiful. Spent a lot of time just watching waves and taking it in. It is a wonderful place and I would definitely recommend visiting Chez Batista villas.

Cannot wait to return

A wonderful stay, the sea view from our junior suite was wonderful. The beach is a matter of steps away and is great for snorkelling and swimming. All the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast consisted of freshly made fruit salad, cereal, toast, cheese, your choice of eggs and bacon complimented by fresh fruit juice, the most wonderful vanilla tea and of course coffee! this served as you look out over Takamaka beach.
The Sunday Creole buffet, recommended wholeheartedly, providing a fine selection of traditional Creole dishes for a comparatively reasonable price.
Location wise I preferred the southern end of the island where this accommodation was, great access to either side of the island, helpful as depending when you visit one side of the island will have calmer waters.
We are already looking forward to returning next year, thank you for a brilliant holiday.
