An insider tip for a relaxed stay in Glarus

Very pleasant family run hotel.
Clean rooms, rich and fresh breakfast buffet. Good selection of dishes for dinner.
Service very pleasant.
Good accessibility by car, electric charging station in the immediate vicinity.

Excellent

We came from Munich for a class reunion. The food was fantastic, the owners and staff were very friendly and the rooms were really cute. I can highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

I did not feel welcome in this hotel, I would not stay here again.

I did not feel welcome in this hotel, with it's German-only signage (I assumed if it was only in German, it must not have been that important) but clearly they cater to locals more than international travelers. Very odd floor levels, and situated on a busy and noisy road. Paper thin walls added to the noise level. I would not stay here again.

Pleasant Location

Pleasant guesthouse at the foot of the Klausen pass.Pleasant room but no en suite. Good continental breakfast. Wifi only usable in dining room. Dinner was very good. Pleasant efficient staff always a plus.

Backpacking Via Alpina

Hotel Restaurant Raben was the perfect place to begin our trip along the Via Alpina hiking trail. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance of the train station (about 10 minute walk) has great views, an outstanding breakfast and a wonderful restaurant.
