Excellent location, great service, good staff (especially Emir), and very comfortable!
The location of this hotel is very good and within reach of transport and shopping. The hotel facilities are very good and the staff are very helpful, friendly and approachable. Emir was excellent and helped me with advice on how to get around certain parts of Istanbul. I’d recommend this hotel and certainly will be staying again very soon.

HORRIBLE SCAM
That hotel is a scam, mold in the bathroom, no air conditioning, leaking toilet, broken mirrors. The pictures of the Hotel does not correspond to reality at all. It’s really dirty. We left and asked for a refund but the owner refused. RUN AWAY

Horrible experience
What a horrible experience this hotel has provided. Their pictures mislead you, their amenities they claim to have are non existent and their breakfast and staff you have to argue with to get what you need.
We got told off because our 10 month old was making a mess when she was eating…..SHES A BABY.
When things got so bad and we wanted to leave the reservation team refused to provide a refund or even a partial refund so we can relocate
It’s been a very stressful few days until they finally upgraded us to a suite to compensate for all the misleading and issues.

The hotel team is incredibly thoughtful - they saw we were traveling with kids and offered a free room upgrade to better accommodate everyone 😊 We arrived at the hotel pretty early around 11am and most of our rooms were already ready despite being before check-in time. The rooms are clean and super comfy! The breakfast spread is great, with a mix of hot foods and cold cuts. The area is filled with cute coffee shops and local artisanal products. There’s a grocery store and fruit shop along the road too. It’s a pleasant 10-minute walk to Istiklal Avenue. Walking to the Tophane tram station is through a hillier area and takes about 15 minutes (quicker if you take a route with stairs but we had a stroller). Lovely stay at Orka, will definitely stay here again!

THEY DECEIVED US
The hotel was quite good and clean. We were 5 friends and we reserved 2 rooms, one with two beds and the other with 3 beds, when we arrived they told us that they were 2 rooms that communicated (false). We went up to the room (1 room with a living room) and we found 1 double bed and in the living room two sofas with a sheet on top and an extra bed. On top of that, 1 bathroom for 5 people, 2 of us had to sleep together, 2 on sofas and 1 in an extra bed. The worst thing was the attention when we showed them the reservation where it came from, which was 2 rooms and they told us that they had thought that we would want to be together (eh). They didn't pay any attention to us, after spending more than 2 hours at the reception complaining and asking to speak to the hotel director, a girl who we had already seen when we arrived (quite rude) arrives and in the end gives us another room in another hotel for that night. The next day they get us another room at this same hotel. We felt cheated and the treatment was horrible, although in the end they ended up apologizing.
