Fabulous wedding❤️

What a wonderful place you hosted my sons and daughter in laws wedding 08/03/2025 and everything was perfect from start to finish the rooms,the food and all the bits in between thanking for proving a beautiful place for the event,you all never stopped and we truly appreciated everything you did thank you again. *****

over priced

Went for drinks on sunday 9.3.2025 nice place to sit outside, but the wine prices are frankly ridiculous 10.90 for a glass of house wine says enough, its not as though it was good quality wine, £6 at a supermarket at the most, get your act together, as if you don't ,the pub will once more be closed, the new queen was full which is why we visited your pub, guess why? they don't charge stupid prices

The choice of a pub to stay is not everyone’s but this proved to be very good for an overnight stay and would return.

The Bear is in a good location and worked for me as it was close enough by for the planned family visit. Which can prove to be difficult to book a one night stay for a Saturday. The room (Hooke)I had was a good size well appointed. Breakfast was ok.

Comfy, clean, spacious room. Breakfast was great, always cooked perfectly. The pub itself is lovely and the room I stayed in was beautifully decorated. I would definitely stay again!

Long wait and no food

Waited almost two hours for our food before giving up and leaving. No explanation as to why it was taking so long from the staff. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy so unsure what was going on. The waitress was great and clearly felt bad. We won’t be returning.
