Fantastic weekend

Comfortable clean and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at the Tyn y Coed, even when we arrived soaked from the heavy rain that day.
Staff were amazing, great food and atmosphere. Log fires were a fantastic bonus.
We will definitely be returning.

Hotel did it’s best in a challenging time.

Hotel pleasant, staff friendly and I really enjoyed my cooked veggie breakfast.
Having come to Wales by train I appreciated the good range of local buses which means the hotel’s accessible by public transport and you can also get to Nant Gwynant Valley, Pen y Pass, Llanberis and Ogwen Valley quite easily.
By chance my stay was during Storm Darragh though which made things difficult in the area.
Not unusually Tyn y Coed Hotel doesn’t have it’s own generator so no lecky for a couple of nights ( ie no lighting, hot showers, ignition for gas cookery, phone charging etc etc).
Staff gamely did what they could to keep up morale in a rather trying time with, crucial!, candles provided and many sandwiches made :)

A great hotel with an excellent breakfast, it's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the mountains/nature in the area. The bar and restaurant below are great as well especially in winter. The room was very clean, quiet and well stocked. Great staff too, would definitely book this hotel again next time we visit the area.

Lovely hotel with amazing staff

Lovely, friendly hotel, where the staff go above and beyond! I stayed there during Storm Darragh on 6th December 2024. There was no power on 7th December but they got out a camping stove to make us coffee and gave us breakfast as well as sandwiches for lunch. Fab!!
