Distance from Plymouth train station to hotel is walkable only if u are fit and if it's not raining or super cold. Otherwise taxi ride is recommended. Everything in this hotel is good.

Really disappointing.

Positives: the staff are lovely. For a hotel this large the breakfast is very limited but it was cooked well.
Negatives: the hotel is nothing like the website. The rooms are extremely dated and for a lot less money you can stay 200yrds at other hotels with better value for your money. On floor two everything is tired and very dated. The windows are falling apart and you can’t open them and the blinds were falling down in the bathroom.
Both lampshades were broken in the room.
The swimming pool is small and holds a loud swimming lesson all morning so forget any chances of a quiet swim.
The changing rooms and toilets are awful. The smell was terrible and the whole place felt really unhygienic.
I would have liked to have left a review for the hotel direct but when booking direct you don’t get the chance too.
Don’t be seduced by the website - this is extremely overpriced for what you get.

Excellent breakfast and lovely staff, especially Peggy.

We stayed for two nights over the past weekend. We had a gig at the Pavilions on one night and chilled the other, the hotel is within walking distance of the old town. We found all of the staff to be very friendly and attentive. We especially want to mention Peggy who served us both mornings at breakfast - she was particularly lovely and remembered our order from the previous day which was a nice touch. We thought the breakfast was really very good, you could have anything you wanted and it was delicious. We also had our biccies topped up in our room when we went out for the day … these little things make a difference. We work in hospitality and totally get the pressures and stress that this kind of job can have on you, we felt looked after and really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent

Lovely hotel. Room lovely and clean
Breakfast was really great evening meal in the restaurant was also excellent. Will doffo stay there when in Plymouth for pavilions. Swimming pool and gym
Plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall would definitely stay there again

Really nice. Have stayed many a time, same name hotel different group ownership.
If one comment, laundry etc should be best suited in another lift. Had to wait some time as occupied with two maids, laundry. Also one girl, pulling the bags down the stairs from 5th floor. Not good for them, besides that, a nice stay, just observation from there part.
