Good location

I was there for day days.. vice hotel room. Staff very helpful. They gave me a good rate than internet..most places are near so i did not used taxi, just walk. Normal breakfast but i liked it. Prices also competative

BEWARE AND STAY AWAY!

Our New Year Holiday was completely ruined (DEC 27th - 31st). We arrived on 27th night only to know that we were bumped off to a SISTER HOTEL where we had to carry our luggage to the 5th floor all by ourselves. Mind you we had booked through agoda and had no knowledge of this . Next day at Tu Linh further disaster awaited us. Our Suite room booked at a premium rate suddenly dissapeared due to electrical problems and we were offered a STANDARD AVERAGE ROOM. Note at this point we had no recourse to the money we paid the same was deducted from our account and we could not even book any other hotel as all hotels were at a premium.
Rooms were pretty average with below average breakfast, rude and lying front office staff...okay location (nothing great). Overall we could have got a much better deal if we had not booked through an agregator and just walked and negotiated with other hotels in the street. Alas we learnt our leason..So dear all if you like taking risk etc go ahead with Tu Linh or STAY AWAY ...lots of other better places in Hanoi await your. Best wishes

Hard beds, bad breakfast, loud traffic

The beds are the equivalent of sleeping on a slab of wood... And the breakfast looked like it had been sitting there for quite some time when me and my partner came down to look.
Even though we were on the 5th floor, the traffic was also overwhelmingly loud.
If you're a light sleeper then prepare for minimal sleep.
Would NOT recommend.

A good budget friendly well located place

We stayed here for 4 days. Located in the Old Quarters, Tu linh palace is a nice centrally located hotel with almost all good places at a walking distance. Though the breakfast is not fully loaded like at other places, but the hotel staff is really good to accommodate your request and do their best for that.
Had a good memorable stay and recommended for budget stay.

Excellent value

We only stayed in this hotel for literally 9 hours as a place to sleep but we were pleasantly surprised. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was lovely. The only thing is that what qualified for a window was barely visible, it was fine for us as we were only there to sleep but if we’d been there for any longer it would have been an issue. The only other reason that it is 4 and not 5 is we found the staff to be quite rude. Breakfast supposedly started at 7 but when I asked at 7:10 how I was to order the receptionist tried to tell me to go and buy breakfast. I’m sure we can’t be the only people to have breakfast at the start of the time of serving! Eventually she brought out the breakfast. Overall, it was a lovely and comfortable room and great value for what we paid.
